Our yard is at Churchfields Industrial Estate, Stephenson Road, Salisbury SP2 7NP — about 20 minutes from Durrington via the A3028, the A345 and the A36, 650 metres from Salisbury railway station. Every unit is an insulated steel container on the ground floor with 24/7 access, and the gate opens when you ring it from your registered phone.

About Durrington

Durrington is a village on the eastern part of Salisbury Plain, north of Amesbury and north-east of the Stonehenge monument, in the Upper Avon valley; the parish includes the hamlet of Hackthorn and the military settlement of Larkhill. Its history goes back to the Neolithic era — two ancient sites, Durrington Walls and Woodhenge, lie in the parish — and its name comes from the Old English Deor ingtūn, a farm or settlement connected with a man called Deor. The parish church existed by 1179, when it was confirmed to Amesbury Priory; it was rebuilt in 1851, dedicated to All Saints, and is Grade II* listed.

Durrington today

The village of about 5,000 people has three convenience stores, a filling station and local shops, two pubs at opposite ends of the village — the Plough and the Stonehenge Inn — and schools for every stage of compulsory education, from Durrington All Saints CofE Infant School to Avon Valley Academy. A small swimming pool and fitness centre stands next to the secondary school, and the recreation ground has a football pitch, two tennis courts, a park and BMX and skateboarding facilities. The A345 runs along the western side of the village, the A303 passes to the south, and Salisbury Reds buses run to Larkhill, Amesbury, Salisbury and Swindon. Moving in, clearing out or between homes — our Salisbury yard is about 20 minutes away.

From 40 to 160 sq ft

Three sizes of insulated steel container: 40 sq ft takes the contents of a studio flat, 80 sq ft a two-bedroom flat, and 160 sq ft — a 20-foot container — a three- or four-bedroom house or a small business’s stock and equipment, with room for a van-load of furniture and a walkway down the middle. House, loft and garage clear-outs

Clearing a house, loft or garage in Durrington? Pick the size and the move-in date that suit you, drive up to load — you can drive right up to many of our units, and the rest are a few steps from the end of a short row — and give two weeks’ notice when you’re done. Salisbury recycling centre is 150 metres down the road for anything you don’t keep. There’s no deposit and no long-term contract, and no minimum stay — but a minimum of two weeks’ rent at full price applies.

For stock, tools, equipment or archive boxes, every unit is on the ground floor with 24/7 access, and the gate works from anywhere — ring it from your phone to let a delivery driver in while you’re away. The 160 sq ft (20 ft) container takes a small business’s stock and equipment, and van hire is opposite the gate.
