Why the station side of Salisbury
Stephenson Road, SP2 7NP: central Salisbury, by the railway station, the only storage facility this side of Salisbury, and the easiest in the city to get in and out of.
We are on the station side of Salisbury, 650 metres from the railway station on Churchfields Industrial Estate. No hunting round an out-of-town estate: head for the station and you are there.
The recycling centre is 150 metres from the gate. Clear the unit, drop the rubbish, one trip.
Hire a van directly opposite the gate from Enterprise. Hire it, load it, unload it and return the van. Simple, no extra journeys.
Every unit is on the ground floor. No lifts, no corridors, no trolleys: you unload from the car or van straight to the container.
No keypad, no fob, no code. Call the gate as you come down the road and it recognises your number and opens before you reach it. It only answers to registered customers, and it works from anywhere: on holiday and a delivery is due? Call the gate from the beach.
The storage facility is lit from dusk to dawn and covered by CCTV, so a 10pm visit feels the same as a 10am one.
Every other storage facility in Salisbury is out at Old Sarum, along the Southampton Road or beyond South Newton, five to sixteen minutes’ drive from the station. Ours is two.
