Our yard is at Churchfields Industrial Estate, Stephenson Road, Salisbury SP2 7NP — about 30 minutes from Andover via the A343, the A30 and the A36, 650 metres from Salisbury railway station. Every unit is an insulated steel container on the ground floor with 24/7 access, and the gate opens when you ring it from your registered phone.

About Andover

Andover is a town in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, on the River Anton, a major tributary of the Test, alongside the A303 trunk road at the eastern end of Salisbury Plain. It developed as a centre for grain milling and wool processing, and in the 20th century took on a significant Armed Forces presence. Its name is recorded in Old English in 955 as Andeferas and is thought to be of Celtic origin, and in 962 King Edgar called a meeting of the Witenagemot there. In the 18th century more than 30 coaches a day passed through on the Exeter–Salisbury–London road, and the railway arrived in 1854.

Andover today

The Ministry of Defence is the town’s largest employer — Army Headquarters has been at the former RAF Andover site since 2012 — and major businesses include Twinings, Cengage, Simplyhealth and the Stannah Group. From the 1950s Andover grew as an overspill town for London, with a bypass, industrial estates and the Chantry Centre, and estates such as Saxon Fields, Augusta Park and Picket Twenty have followed since the 2000s. The Lights is the town’s arts venue, the Andover Museum and Museum of the Iron Age houses finds from nearby Danebury hillfort, and the station has South Western Railway trains to Salisbury, Basingstoke and London Waterloo. Moving in, clearing out or between homes — our Salisbury yard is about 30 minutes away.

From 40 to 160 sq ft

Three sizes of insulated steel container: 40 sq ft takes the contents of a studio flat, 80 sq ft a two-bedroom flat, and 160 sq ft — a 20-foot container — a three- or four-bedroom house or a small business’s stock and equipment, with room for a van-load of furniture and a walkway down the middle. House, loft and garage clear-outs

Clearing a house, loft or garage in Andover? Pick the size and the move-in date that suit you, drive up to load — you can drive right up to many of our units, and the rest are a few steps from the end of a short row — and give two weeks’ notice when you’re done. Salisbury recycling centre is 150 metres down the road for anything you don’t keep. There’s no deposit and no long-term contract, and no minimum stay — but a minimum of two weeks’ rent at full price applies.

Business storage near Andover

For stock, tools, equipment or archive boxes, every unit is on the ground floor with 24/7 access, and the gate works from anywhere — ring it from your phone to let a delivery driver in while you’re away. The 160 sq ft (20 ft) container takes a small business’s stock and equipment, and van hire is opposite the gate.
